Earlier this month the media including The National Post picked up the story of the plan of atheists to start advertising.    Atheism is not new – remember Psalm 14:1 “The fool says in his heart, There is no God.”

Last Thursday night I attended a debate at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology where Joe Boot debated Professor DiCarlo.   Frankly I felt DiCarlo did a poor job of holding up the atheism vantage point.   His queries about a young earth, his citations of apparent “contradictions” seemed to miss the point.

Our prayer was that those in attendance would consider the existence of God.    Pray for the follow-up with “Christianity Explored” as well as the other debates on Ontario campuses this week.    Thank God for those who in a public setting are “ready to give an answer always for the hope that lies within…..”   May all of us be prepared to engage others in thought-provoking discussions of topics with eternal consequences.
