Happy Birthday Jane!

Jane – our youngest – turns 18 today.   She’s partying with friends at Liberty University so we’ll have to content ourselves with a virtual cake and virtual candles and a virtual celebration.   Actually we celebrated early when she was home for medical check-up in October.

I can’t believe it was 18 years ago – when we welcomed her into our family – a little sister for Carolyn who was almost 3 years old.

Jane loves life in so many ways.   She loved the farm and often helped me care for the animals in my hobby farm days.   Peacocks, pheasants, pigs, donkeys, chickens, ducks, we had them all and then some.   Jane did her share of chores when we lived on our family farm from 1991 – 2004.

Jane loves music.   She has her own God-given skill set and has sung, played violin, piano, accordion, shall I go on?   She has sung in a myriad of solosGreat Shot of Jane taken by Carolyn, duets, group ensembles and choirs.

She’s off this year in Lynchburg, Virginia taking her first degree.   Not surprisingly she has a pack of friends and cares deeply about each of them.

We’re all proud of her on this her 18th and by the way she shares this special day with Billy Graham.  Not bad, eh!!

This photo was taken by my talented oldest daughter Carolyn whose on the west side of Canada trekking through her own studies.

Thank you Lord for our girls.  Children really are a heritage from the LORD!   Protect them, guide them, lead them and direct their steps.  Help them to acknowledge you in all their ways!
