My Daughter – President??

Attention Management Consultants – Help is available – Grade 3 student has presidential capabilities!

My oldest daughter, Carolyn, is preparing to launch into a new adventurous chapter of her life.   Last night, at the dinner table, I shared with her and my wife a great document I found in my “pack-rat” collection of memories.

From 1991-2004 we lived in North-eastern Ontario – 500 km north of Toronto and while there both girls attended Kerns Public School.   Carolyn, as a keen Grade 3 girl, decided to form a new club.   The text below is the “charter” of the club outlining positions and responsibilities.    I reproduce it for your enjoyment and to honor Carolyn has great leadership and team-building abilities.  {The emphasis is all hers.}

Dear Club Members,

As most of you know I have started by own Club!!!!    I hope some of you will find good pen friends.   If you wanted to join a friend or someone, please feel free to do that.   The peoples jobs are as followed:

Carolyn Edwards – President      Nikki Chartrand – Vice president   Rhonda Loranger – Secretary

Debra Hewitt-Penfinder helper {helps with me}  Allison Light – Junior officer   Claire Light-Junior Officer.

If you don’t know what to do in your job it is written below:

Vice-President -

Takes over for however long President is away.   {I will know when I will be away so I’ll you what to plan!}\

Secretary – You are in charge of knowing the answer to members questions.  If you don’t know the answer to the question say to the person, “I’ll call you bak in just a minute”  hang up the phone and call me ask me the same question and I will tell you the right answer.”

With leadership qualities this clear at Grade 3, Carolyn will be leaving her mark, don’t you think?   We are proud of her as she heads out this weekend to being a B.A. in Intercultural Studies at Columbia Bible College in British Columbia.    Way to go!!!!
