Last night I watched the lunar eclipse through some wonderful equipment shared with me by my father-in-law. He is a generous, gracious, gifted Christian father-in-law who has been an amazing role model. For some years he owned and operated “The Scope Shop” which featured binoculars, telescopes and other scopes of all kinds.
Last night we used 2 sets of binoculars and 1 telescope to gaze in wonder at the lunar eclipse, visible so clearly in Toronto. The clarity and precision made possible through the use of lenses was amazing!
The text that came to mind was “When I consider the heavens….the moon and the stars…..what is man that you are mindful of him?” The moon which David saw is the moon which we saw last evening. How great is our God! He is our CREATOR! Worship Him and Him alone!
