I spoke last night to “Legacy Builders” a mixed group of aging adults (aren’t we all?) who meet regularly at Calvary Baptist Church. Though the innkeeper is not cited in Luke’s account of Christ’s birth, I, like so many other preachers, opted to reflect on this man. I looked at questions from a website designed for potential “innkeepers” today.
Here are a few questions asked in that survey –
1.When in your life did you decide to become an Innkeeper?
2. Why did you choose to become an innkeeper?
3. What is special or unique about your inn?
4. What is the most rewarding part of the innkeeper job?
5. What is the hardest part of the innkeeper job?
6. Is the Innkeeper job harder or easier then you first thought it would be?
7. What advice would you give to an aspiring innkeeper?
In a short devotional on reflected on the potential regrets of this man and urged us all to consider how much “room” we are allowing Christ to have in our lives, as His followers?
